South West Creative jobs was developed as a joint initiative between Bristol Media and the South West Regional Development Agency to help retain and grow the creative sector in the South West. Initially a freelancer database, this bespoke growing community is now also home to full time, contract and freelance creative jobs in region.
Ignition are a Bristol design agency with expertise in sustainable design. I worked with them to create an engaging new Drupal website, tied into various web services.
Bristol Groundschool approached were looking to refresh and reposition their on and offline branding. Working with Open, the project included a brand refresh, social media strategy and a new Drupal website.
Over the last 15 years over a million trees have been planted within 10 miles of Bristol. Forest of Avon Trust was established in 2008 as the local charity to keep this planting going for many years to come, involve as many people as possible in this and to improve and safeguard existing woodlands. The website we created is designed to help them engage with local people, raise awareness and generate donations.
This is the first city guide to outline many of the Bristol’s good living and green activities. Created initially as a Django database, then published as a 224 page guidebook featuring over 400 listings of places and activities. The brand has since been developed into the Good Living Week and many other great ideas are in the pipeline.
North Somerset Council Economic Development Team provides advice and support to new and existing businesses in North Somerset. This new brand and website was developed to engage local business and to encourage inward investment to the region.
Atkey and Company are makers of exemplary architectural joinery, offering a catalogue of authentic, accurately reproduced designs from the best known periods of British architecture, each complete with its historical context. Their website was created as a flexible, online catalogue.
CrayFish is the work of Robert Gaddie who set up the company late in 2003. His blog was created to showcase creative and tactile printed communication.
Developed as part of a suite of websites for SITA UK, the Isle of Man site features animated Flash charts to keep visitors updated with emissions data – part of their contractual obligations to have an energy-from-waste facility on the island.
